2011 is speeding by!

I wish I could say that! No actually it's not. The last two months have been so long due to the piles and piles of snow we have gotten, that they seem to have dragged on pretty endlessly. Also, I think because I am staying home, the adjustment has made it feel longer as well. But, here we are in the last days of February and I wanted to talk to you about a few things.
Dreams. I know you have some dreams. It may be to have another baby, to find a better job, to purchase a home or move to another country. It may be to find the man of your dreams or to finally conquer...fill in the blanks. I just wanted to tell you that attitude is EVERYTHING. I want to share one of my favorite Henry David Thoreau quotes with you: "As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives." If achieving your goal is hard, don't be surprised. If making a major life change is hard, it shouldn't be shocking. Nothing good comes easy ladies! You have to choose to walk that new path, and choose again, and again, and again. Like Thoreau said, "to make a deep mental path." So, if you have failed at something, please don't give up. Pray to dedicate it to God, and ask him to guide your steps and then try again.
